Definition
A shipping document type group classifies shipping document types for sorting. It is therefore important to combine only those shipping document types that are normally created together.
For purposes of sorting, only shipping document types of the same category should be included in one group. For this reason, you must specify for the shipping document type group when shipping document types of which category can be included in the group.
To include a shipping document type in a group, specify the key of the group for the shipping document type.
Important note
During shipping document creation, a sort routine is generated in a so-called subroutine pool for each (selected) shipping document type group. The SAP system allows a maximum of 36 of these generations within one job step. This means that a maximum of 36 shipping document type groups can be processed within one shipping document type job step.

Use
This field enables you to create a sort sequence that applies to a specific shipping document type grouping. If there is no suitable entry in the sorting control table, the general sort sequence is used for the grouping with the key for the printing works, the shipping document type category and the 'blank' shipping document type grouping.
Examples
The following two entries are in the sorting control table for printing works 0001 and shipping document type category 1:
PrWorks Type SDocTGpg Sort seq.
0001 1 <blank> ...
0001 1 GROUP1 ...
If the shipping document types to be sorted belong to GROUP1, the sort sequence used should be that in the second entry.
If the shipping document types to be sorted belong to GROUP2, there is no specific sort sequence here so the sort sequence in the first entry is used.
If there are shipping documents to be sorted that are not assigned to a grouping, the sort sequence in the first entry applies.
