Display version of data

Use

When transmitted conditions, references or dates are displayed in SD self-billing, it is possible that data records displayed (header document or material item) contain data that originates from various IDoc headers or items.

If the displayed record has already been completely processed in the processing step, the additional data displayed (conditions, references, dates) could come from several separate IDocs or IDoc items, if:

  • several IDocs referred to the same SD document (delivery or delivery confirmation) and were grouped together in processing (see 'Delivery Grouping' in Customizing for the sold-to party.)
In this case, the display version shows you that the data comes from various IDocs. Implicitly, this also shows you that several IDocs were grouped together.
The IDoc number and item is also displayed (in the standard SAP display variant).
  • two items within an IDoc refer to the same material in the delivery or delivery confirmation. In this case, the display version whether the data comes from the first or the second item.

If you have selected the display function for conditions, references or dates for a record that has been through the verification step but not through the processing step, you only ever see data from 1 IDoc or 1 IDoc item.
In this case, the display version does not matter, as only one "version" exists.
