Definition
The shipping group is used to group the shipping runs in IS-M/SD (set closing date, generate issue mixes, bundling, shipping document creation) to form one common run.
The shipping groups are defined in the Customizing settings for shipping (Media Sales and Distribution).
Determining the shipping date automatically
If you specify a shipping group when setting the closing date, the system determines the shipping date for this group automatically according to the next publication date.
If you specify the shipping group after setting the closing date for use in executing the other functions in the shipping procedure, the shipping date for the shipping group also applies to these functions.
