Definition
Controls how the packing instruction is used in control cycles for KANBAN summarized JIT calls.
Use
Only packing instructions that refer to 1 single material can be used.
If a packing instruction is entered into the control cycle, the name of the load carrier will be copied into the load carrier field in the control cycle.
The cumulative target quantity is determined from the packing instructions through the specifications: call quantity from packing instruction, one LC per call item, and call quantity from packing instruction, multiple LCs per call item possible . The quantity from the control cycle will then be overwritten.
Dependencies
Consequences in the control cycle:
- No functional usage, the packing instruction is a comment
No more consequences
- Call quantity from rule basis, multiple load carriers possible
If a call item consists of multiple load carriers, then that number of load carriers will be determined for the call. If you are working with a summary of summarized JIT calls, the number of load carriers, plus the call quantity for an existing call item will be summated.
- Call quantity from packing instruction, an LC for every call item
Any number of load carriers can be entered. The corresponding number of call items will be determined and requested on generation of the calls.
In automatic supply-to-production, this setting causes the replenishment proposals to be split. That is, one replenishment proposal always corresponds to the quantity of one load carrier.
