Documentation
Definition
Defines whether or not a vehicle is available to a person searching in the system.
If more than one car dealer or sales organization has access to the same vehicle stock (defined via the vehicle search area), you can use the sharing level to make a vehicle available or unavailable to other car dealers or sales organizations.
Use
Where necessary, you assign a default sharing level to each vehicle search area.
The vehicle search area and the sharing level are copied to the vehicle data when you create vehicles.
You can define rules for the vehicle search in Category Management for the vehicle search areas and sharing levels. In this way, you can define a uniform SD policy in your company.
Dependencies
If you want to make use of the options open to you with the vehicle serach area, you have to work with BAPI and/or BAdI when you create vehicles.
