Documentation
Definition
Defines where the current physical location should be taken from, if it is a location that is defined in the master data in your system.
Use
Dependencies
The location can normally be taken from the master data (customer master, vendor master, business partner management for end customers), or from the field vehicle location. The vehicle location field relates to all locations that have been maintained specifically for the VMS in the IMG activity Define vehicle locations. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Select a preference in this field for all actions in which the vehicle is clearly assigned to a single customer, vendor, or end customer. Leave the vehicle location field empty.
Example: Action Create vehicle ---> Location determination in the customer master.
- For all other actions, select one of the locations that you have defined in Customizing and enter it into the vehicle location field. Do not enter any data in the field location determination.
Example: Action Confirm transit --> Location as defined in Customizing.
If there are entries in both fields, the entry in the location determination field is taken as the valid entry.
