Definition

Availability Status

Use

The availability status can remain the same for a sequence of several vehicle statuses. Example: A vehicle that takes on purchasing status 'Vehicle Created', 'Vehicle Ordered', 'Purchase Order Confirmed', and 'Transit Confirmed' one after the other, keeps the availability status 'Not Released'.

The availability status is for information purposes only and does not control anything.

Dependencies

In Customizing, you can select values for the availability status and assign the values to individual actions.

Example

Values for the availability status could be, for example,

  • Not Released: The vehicle is created but has not yet been produced.
  • Available: The vehicle has been produced and is now at the importer. It can be sold.
  • Reserved: A quotation has been made for the vehicle.
  • Sold.
