Definition
In the course of the payroll accounting procedure, certain wage
type characteristics are used to control further processing.
These system-guided wage type attributes can be stored in the
processing class string.
You can use a wage type for different payroll steps by defining
the processing class.
The different ways in which a wage type is used in a processing
step are determined by defining the specification of the
relevant processing class.
Selecting a processing class
You are given two options when selecting a processing class. If
1. If you already know the meaning of a processing class you can enter
the values you want directly.
2. If you want to check the meanings of the processing class first,
move the cursor to the desired position in the string and press F1.
You access the permitted specifications by positioning the cursor on
them and pressing F4. A window will be displayed containing
documentation for individual specifications which can be accessed using
F1. You can assign a specification to a processing class by selecting
'Choose'.
