Procedure

Enter a reference date such as the signing of the contract date which you want the system to use to calculate a related date such as the contract end date. The system then bases its calculations for the required date on this reference date and the specified time period and/or calendar ID.

Example

The customer hires a photocopier from you. The contract for the use and maintenance of this photocopier is to end one year after the contract is signed. The system calculates the end of contract date as follows:

Baseline date = Date contract signed = 05/23/1995

Time period = 1 year = 05/23/1996

Calendar = Months end

Contract end date = 05/31/1996
