Use
Setting to edit or display documents.
The document class indicates what kind of object is involved.
Wnen you create a document, many document classes provide a standard heading that clearly describes the object in question.
Procedure
Select the desired document class using the F4 help.

You can always only edit individual objects or a list of objects that belong to the selected class.
If you wish to edit different document classes, select the function Work list. With this function you can create a list of all documents belonging to a package. The list contains all document types and can then be used as a basis for editing.

Use
Document name.
Procedure
If you wish to edit a single document, enter the complete name and then select the required editing function.
If you wish to work with a Selection list, enter a name using an asterisk on the right (*) and then select the appropriate editing function.
You are first presented with a window where you can choose editing statuses as selection criteria.
You obtain a list of all documents that are found. With the function Choose you can select individual documents from the list for editing.

If it is an object that documents a Workbench object, the document has the same name as the object.
For independent documents (e.g. general texts, chapters of an online manual etc.) you are free to allocate any name within the customer name range.
When you generate a selection list for a data element supplement, you may not use a supplementary number. In this case, only enter the the name of the data element generically.
