Definition

Variants are used in conjunction with statistical key figures to transfer values automatically from the Logistics Information System (LIS). Different parameters are combined with the aid of a variant which describes a key figure from the LIS. This allows a statistical key figure from the CO module to be assigned to a particular LIS key figure (for example, the number of invoice items). The LIS key figures can be broken down further (into affected customers, materials, company departments, and so on), so that each LIS key figure displays a particular blend of characteristics.
