Documentation
Definition
The planned weight of an issue can be maintained manually, but if no manual entry is made, the system uses the calculated issue weight as the planned weight. If the planned weight is changed manually, this is recorded by means of an indicator (planned weight changed manually) and the calculated weight is no longer used as the planned weight. If at some point you want to return to using the calculated weight as the planned weight, you must delete the planned weight (the indicator is reset when you do this).
The planned weight of an issue is used in planning procedures such as bundling, truck route planning and shipping documents (with the exception of the postal delivery lists on which settlement is based), since an actual weight has not yet been recorded at the time these procedures take place.
Note
Inserts cannot be included in the planned weight since this data is not recorded for specific insert mixes.

Definition
You can maintain the planned weight of an ad insert manually. If you do not do this, the system takes the calculated ad insert weight as the planned weight. If the planned weight is changed manually, this is recorded by an indicator and from this point on the calculated weight is no longer taken as the planned weight. If you want to have the system take the calculated weight as the planned weight once more, you must delete the planned weight (when you do this, the system resets the indicator denoting manual changes).
The planned weight of an ad insert is used in planning procedures such as bundling, truck route planning and shipping documents (with the exception of the postal delivery lists used for settlement of postal charges), since the actual weight has not yet been established at the time when these procedures are carried out.
