Characteristics that are available for you to use when creating a hierarchy using attributes.
Use
Initially, all characteristics for the sales planning InfoCube are available. The first characteristic that you select by double-clicking is the hierarchy's root node. You can extend the hierarchy using just those characteristics that are attributes of the root node characteristic. The characteristic that you select from these attributes by double-clicking then becomes the new root node of the hierarchy. You therefore build a hierarchy from attributes in a bottom-up fashion.
