Definition
Offset for a variable for a time characteristic. If you use a variable for a time characteristic, which contains more than one value in the selection, then the variable is replaced by the smallest of these values. If you want to use other values then you can enter an offset which is added to the smallest value.
Example:
Variable for the time characteristic 0FISCYEAR, selection in the variable: 2001-2005.
- An offset of 0 delivers the variable 2001 as the value.
- An offset of 1 delivers the variable 2002 as the value.
- An offset of -1 delivers the variable 2000 as the value.
It is checked whether the smallest value of the variable charged by the offset is still in the definition area of the variable. If this is not the case, then the corresponding row/column is marked as a comparison column/row. All rows or columns in which a negative offset is used are always comparison columns/rows.
