Definition
Fixing is usually activated for the lead column in the ALV Layout. This means that you can only scroll through the layout as of the first data column. You can always see the lead column when you are scrolling.
However, if the number of lead columns exceeds the number of columns that can be displayed on the screen and thereby the first data column lies outside of the area that is visible, no scroll bar appears at all. With layouts of this type it is necessary to set this flag in order to unfreeze columns. The scroll bar then extends across the lead columns t too.
