Definition
The indicator 'Check Entry' when choosing the option 'Hierachical Data Model' has the following effect:
- Together with the indicator 'Planning in BPS Characteristic Hierarchies', the values are checked for the characteristic combinations, which do not yet contain distributed values. If such a value is less than zero (this means the budget will be exceeded by the total of characteristic values already distributed), then an error message follows. In this case, the data cannot be saved. However, if the cells are not ready for input, which can influence the not yet distributed value, then only an information message is output. For example, this can occur with a comparison column.
- You have defined a BW hierarchy in the planning level or in the planning package, and in the first screen of the layout builder under the option 'Hierarchy in the Lead Column' selected the option 'BW Hierarchy with Postable Nodes'. The system then generates a page with the same characteristic value for every postable node for manual planning. This page contains the not yet distributed values. Exactly the same checks are now executed for these values as in the case of a BPS characteristic hierarchy.
See the following documentation for more informationBPS Characteristic Hierarchies and BW Hierarchies with Postable Nodes
