Definition

You can determine the selection conditions for a characteristic either in the planning level or in the planning packages belonging to it. With the 'Selection in package' indicator, you specify where the determination occurs.

• If the indicator is checked, you can determine the selection conditions for the characteristic individually for each planning package that is assigned to the planning level. Packages for which you determine no selection conditions, are not restricted regarding the corresponding characteristic.
• If the indicator is not checked, you can determine the selection conditions for the characteristic in the planning level. This setting then applies in the same way for all lower-level planning packages (also for those that are added later); different settings for are not possible for individual packages.
