Definition
The derivation of characteristics takes place iteratively. If a step is applied, then characteristics derived in the step are subsequently available to further steps as source characteristics. The standard sequence in which the step is applied is displayed in this column.
If a target characteristic is simultaneously a source characteristic and can be derived in more than one way, this sequence is no longer guarenteed. In this case the system iterates the number of steps until there are no longer any changes to target characteristics. Steps are removed from the set of steps after they have been applied. You will also notice the >>multiple<< note appears in the note column.
In combination checks, all the characteristics involved are already in the level and the sequence in which the step is applied is not important. The rows have a 0 in this column.
