Definition

When set, indicates that creation of new master data is allowed for the lead column characteristic.

If not set, when a new row is inserted into a layout, the input value is restricted to the existing characteristic values.

Further notes

Whenever a new row is inserted into a planning layout, the system creates a corresponding entry in the info objects that are mapped to the lead column characteristic. These info objects should be used to establish a relationship (for example, products that are part of an assortment).
