Documentation
Definition
The budget type defines the structure of the budget buckets (budget level and key figure set) and how they are used within in the operative processes.
Use
For one budget type you can define a maximum of two different non-overlapping validity periods so that you can change the settings of a budget type on a certain date by the end of validity period1 and the beginning of validity period2.
Dependencies
For the OTB application, you can use more than one budget type to support different processes.
For the PPW application, you can only define one budget type.
It is mandatory to assign a budget level, a key figure set and a name for an ODS object to a budget type. The ODS object is created when a budget type is activated.
