Definition
Argument of operand in a formula.
Use
For measures, you select general formulas whose formula result serves as the basis for mapping the formula result to a score. For each operand of the formula, you define the type. You can choose between the following types:
- Value field
- Constant
Depending on the type, you then enter a value for the operand.

Use
When defining a formula, you use the operand type
to define whether you refer to a variable or a define a constant. The following entry conventions apply:
Convention 1. Example Meaning 2. Example Meaning
You refer to variables, by referring to a number immediately preceded by"$". $2 the second variable of the formula. $10 the tenth variable of the formula.
You refer to formula stages, by noting the formula stage in parenthesis. (1) result of first formula stage. (4) result of fourth formula stage.
You define constants, by noting the value of the constant. 1 constant with the value "1". -10 constant with the value "-10".
