Use
Here you specify how the system determines the time interval in relation to a time series. The value of the variable is calculated on the basis of the current period (=initial period). Note that the current period is not necessarily identical to the system date as it is also determined by the system on the basis of the system date.

Example
Let us assume that the system date is March 23, 2001, and that you defined as fiscal year variant 12 months with January as the first period. The following settings lead to the results listed below:
