Definition

This field specifies the maximum permissible length for the VAT registration number (VAT reg.no.) in the country displayed.

Use

The system uses your specification to check whether the VAT registration number entered for the country displayed was entered with the correct length. An incorrect entry cannot be saved. You can specify the VAT registration number, for example, in the customer master record, in line items for one-time customers or for the company code. It is only used in European Community countries.
