Documentation
Definition
Name for the hierarchy levels of the application component hierarchy. This hierarchy organizes the R/3 System according to functional criteria and is used throughout the R/3 System from Release 3.0 onwards. It is the representation of the function list known from earlier Release levels within the system itself.
Supplementary Documentation - UFFCTR 0200
Use
This field allows you to use business application components as a means to build up and maintain activity profiles.
Each business application component has a set of related standard tasks, reports and transactions. By creating a relationship between a job and a business application component, you are also creating relationships with all of the corresponding activities.
NOTE: The system interprets your selection hierarchically. That is, all components in the R/3 application hierarchy that occur above and below the selected component are taken into account, including the activities.
You can narrow down the number of activities included in a profile by naming an activity class together with a business application component. The activity profile can also be adjusted using the Activity profile button.
Procedure
Complete this field by entering the code that represents a business application component. To do so either:
- type in the appropriate business application code, or
- press F4 to get a list of applications, and make a selection.
Supplementary Documentation - UFFCTR 0500
Use
In the Data Modeler this field is used to assign a data model to a business application component. The reference thus serves to effect the jump from the the business application component hierarchy to the business objects.
