Use
If summary records can no longer be transferred to the general ledger because the posting period in question cannot be opened, the transfer program allows you to transfer data using an alternative posting date.
This date is stored in the transferred summary records to record the fact that an alternative date was used, and to enable the records to be reconciled with the general ledger, despite the different posting date.
