Definition
The link between a generalization and its specializations with regard to a specific criterion is established via a specialization category.
Each specialization category of an entity type is uniquely identified by a four-digit number.
Example
The entity type material has the specialization categories material use, external material use and others. The material can then be subdivided into several specializations of different categories.
