Use
Procedure
Select an object class under Object selection and enter the name of the object in the input field. Then select Display, Change or Create.
Naming conventions:
Data model and entity type names may contain only alphanumeric characters and underscores.
The first eight characters of an entity type name should not be the same as those of another entity type, since in this case the default view name may no longer be used for Dictionary assignment.
Searching for object names
Select the object class you require.
- You can enter the name of the modeling object you require generically (for example, "uni*") and then press F4 or click on the arrow to the right of the input field.
- Leaving the input field empty, you can call the ABAP/4 Repository Information System by pressing F4, the arrow to the right of the input field or Find and search for the object you require there.
If you enter * in the first search field of the first line of the selection screen in the ABAP/4 Repository Information System, you obtain a list of all modeling objects from the object class previously selected after pressing Execute.
A hit list is displayed. To copy the name of the modeling object to the input field, select the object name and activate Choose.
