Definition

This indicator shows whether the field descriptions of the exploded dimension are displayed. Only the first two characters of the description can be shown on overview screens with two field groups, due to lack of space. The descriptions can be omitted completely on request.

Example

You want to plan the costs and the consumption for cost element 403000 (consumption operating supply items) to costs centers 4711 (production A), (production B) and 4713 (production C). Since the meanings of the cost centers are only clear if accompanied by descriptions, you should display the descriptions, or cost center names. The planning overview screen then looks more or less as shown below:
