Documentation

Definition

Determines whether or not the text from the reference document is to be adopted as a default in the follow-on document.

Example

When a purchase order or RFQ is created by referencing a purchase requisition, this indicator determines whether the text from the requisition is adopted as a default.

Use

If the indicator is set, the text is adopted as a default (i.e. is copied into the follow-on document, saved, and marked with an asterisk '*'). As a result, the text is displayed as "fixed" in the follow-on document.
However, it is not included in the printout of the follow-on document because it is not yet a direct constituent of the follow-on text.

If the indicator is not set, the text is adopted from the predecessor document as a direct constituent of the follow-on document.
It is included in any printout of the follow-on document.

Dependencies

In order for the text to be included in the printout of the follow-on document, it must be a direct constituent of the follow-on document.

Procedure

There are two ways in which you can make the text a direct constituent of the follow-on document:

  • You do not set the text adoption indicator.

  • You set the text adoption indicator in a first step, and copy the fixed default text into the follow-on document in a second step.
