Definition

Predecessor-successor relationships between change requests are an instrument for recording dependencies between change requests from different projects.

When you import a request into a system or client, TMS checks whether the predecessors of the request have already been imported, or whether is waiting to be imported. If this is not the case, transport administration is informed, and can then postpone the import, or modify the number of imported requests.

When you release a request, you also export the relationships it has with its predecessors. This means that you cannot recreate, change or delete predecessor-successor relationships for which the successor relationship has already been released.
