Definition
Contains a two-digit code that represents a region, state or province. The field identifies the area where compensation is paid, since pay calculations may be affected by location. (These locations are set up in Customizing in Personnel Administration.)

Use
This field, along with others in the Pay scale data area, are used only if you work in a unionized environment, where all aspects of pay are regulated. If not, use the Amount area fields to identify planned compensation instead.
Procedure
In CREATE mode, use this field to identify the region, state or province where a position is paid. To do so:
- type in the appropriate 2-digit code, or
- to get a list of codes and make a selection:
. press F4, or
. click on the down arrow
In CHANGE mode, enter a different code by typing over the existing one or selecting from a list, using the methods outlined above.
