These fields contain codes that represent rates of pay. The two fields are used together to identify a range of suitable pay rates.

Pay rate codes differ from one labor organization to another, so you must determine the correct codes to use at your enterprise.

Use

Use pay scale groups only if you work in a unionized environment, where all aspects of pay are regulated. Otherwise, use the Amount area fields to specify planned compensation.

Procedure

In CREATE mode, use the Pay scale group fields to identify a range of suitable pay rates for the position you are working with. To do so, type in the appropriate codes.

In CHANGE mode, enter a different code by typing over the existing one.
