Definition

Used to select objects for inquiries/reports, according to the validity of objects.

All objects (organizational units, qualifications, business events, and so on) have a specified lifespan, when they are considered valid.

To select objects according to validity, you enter a one-character code. (Codes are outlined below.) Each code represents a different length of time. All objects valid at ANY POINT within the selected time will be reported on.

Use

Use the indicator field to select a time period. Enter the appropriate one-character code.

The codes are as follows:

  • D - Day
All objects valid on the current day will be reported on.
  • M - Month
All objects valid at any point within the current month will be reported on.
  • Y - Year
All objects valid at any point within the current year will be reported on.
  • F - Future
All objects valid at any point from the current date, up to the system's default maximum date will be reported on. (A default maximum date, for example, 31.12.9999, is set at installation.)
  • P - Past
All objects valid at any point from the default minimum date, up until the current date will be reported on. (A default minimum date, for example, 01.01.1800, is set at installation.)

NOTE: If you do not wish to select objects according to validity, leave the indicator field blank.

NOTE: You may also use the Object selection period fields to select objects according to validity.
