Definition

This indicator determines whether the cost update (VPRS update function) is simulated.
You can control the simulation as follows:

  • Indicator is set (default)

    The VPRS update function is simulated.

    • Processing takes place but the billing documents are not changed and no accounting documents are created.
      • A log is issued at the end of the simulation notifying you of any changes to the billing documents.
    • If the cost is an accrued cost, the system also checks whether the same accrual accounts are used for the goods issue and billing.
      If postings are made to different accrual accounts in these two processes, the system displays an error message. You can decide in this case whether you want to make manual correction postings in Financial Accounting.
  • Indicator is not set

    The VPRS update function is executed and the system changes the relevant billing documents or creates the accounting documents. When processing is complete, you get a log notifying you of any changes.
