Definition
The Field Length attribute determines the initial length of an input field. The length specifies the number of characters in the input field.
The Maximum Length attribute specifies the maximum number of characters a user can enter into the field. If the maximum length exceeds the field length, the HTML browser should offer scrolling. The field length must always be less than or equal to this maximum length.
