Definition

Amount of space between the paragraph number and the left margin of the form window. The number indent entry is independent of the current setting of the left paragraph margin and indent of the first line.

When specifying the number indent, you should ensure that there is enough space for the number from where it is positioned to the beginning of the first line of the paragraph, so that characters are not printed on top of each other.

The beginning of the first line of a paragraph can be worked out as follows:
Beginning of first line = paragraph margin + indent of first line.
