Definition
The validity information restricts the selection of sales documents with regard to their validity.
- The system checks the validity data from the item overview. This is, for example, the Valid From and Valid To dates for inquiries and quotations, and the Contract Start and Contract End dates for contracts.
- All sales documents that are valid for at least one day within the speci
- If you leave any of the fields in the validity area empty, the system performs the search with no restrictions on validity.
Example
Example 1:
A quotation contains the following validity data:
Valid From: December 13th of the current year
Valid To: December 31st of the current year
If you start the List of Quotations (transaction VA25) and enter the validity period as December 20th of the current year to February 12th of the following year, the quotation is selected. It is valid for at least one day within the specified validity period.
Example 2:
Another quotation contains no validity data:
Regardless of the entries you make in the validity area, this quotation will always be selected with regard to the validity check. There are no restrictions on validity.
