Definition
When you use external firmware/software for printing bar codes (for example, the bar-code function built into PRESCRIBE printers or "JetCAPS Intelligent Barcode SIMM" for HP LaserJet printers), bar codes may be aligned "downward" from the current cursor position and not "upward" like printed text.
By default, all bar codes printed from within SAPscript should be aligned upward from the character baseline when printed horizontally (that is, without rotation), as you can see in the graphical print preview.
To ensure that all bar codes are printed consistently, you can set this indicator. This indicator tells the SAPscript printer driver that the bar code should be aligned upward based on the character baseline. If required, the printer driver then shifts the bar codes vertically in an upward direction to guarantee alignment to the baseline: The start position of the bar code is moved upward by the bar-code height specified in the associated system bar code.
