Definition
Specifies the value date-based key date for the capital transfer.
The transfer key date can always only be interpreted in connection with the inclusive and month-end indicators.
Use
The transfer key date for the capital transfer can be considered in the following three aspects:
- Financial Mathematics
- The capital transfer ensures that the interest calculation between the source and target loan is seamless.
- If the transfer key date in the source loan is to be included in the interest calculation, meaning that the inclusive indicator is set in the source loan, the capital inflow in the target loan does not take effect until the following day.
- If the transfer key date in the target loan is to be included in the interest calculation, meaning that the inclusive indicator is set in the target loan, the capital inflow in the target loan takes effect on the actual transfer key date.
- Capital Amounts
- The capital transfer function is constructed in such a way that the capital amounts transferred from source to target loan remain unchanged.
- Conditions
- In newly created or registered loans the capital transfer structures the conditions in the target loan to fit the transfer process, in particular to the transfer key date.
- The capital transfer ensures that the conditions are the same for both loans.
- If the transfer key date in the source loan is to be included in the interest calculation, meaning that the inclusive indicator is set for the source loan, the fixed condition period in the target loan starts on the following day.
- If the transfer key date in the target loan is to be included in the interest calculation, meaning that the inclusive indicator is set for the target loan, the fixed condition period in the target loan starts on the transfer key date.
