Definition
Two business partners can be interrelated. The business partner relationship category defines which characteristics the relationship has.
A distinction is made between a one-way business partner relationship category, and a two-way business partner relationship category. One-way refers to the relationship one business partner has with another, in which the direction of the relationship is crucial.
By specifying the direction of the attribution, you define in which direction the limits are updated. This is relevant for linked business partners. If the relationship is one-way, the system ignores any entry for the direction.
Example
The default setting for the direction is from partner 1 to partner 2, which means that the utilizations of partner 1 are updated to partner 2. If you change the direction by specifying that it is from partner 2 to partner 1, then the system updates the utilizations of partner 2 to partner 1.
