Definition

Indicates whether you can change the padlock status when you process field attributes in product maintenance.

Use

This preselection enables you limit the changeability of the padlock to the product level, thus reducing the number of Customizing settings you need to make.

Dependencies

With this release it is not yet possible to transfer the padlock information from the product to the contract. The standard settings are always changeable and closed.

The padlock status can have the following characteristic values:

  • Always open

    You can make changes in the contract to the default values for the product. The padlock cannot be closed at the product level.

  • Always closed

    You cannot make changes in the contract to the default values for the product. You cannot alter this restriction at the product level either.

  • Changeable

    You can only determine the default values at the product level.
