Definition
A partial payoff generates a change in the installment schedule with effect from the due date for the payoff. The effective interest calculated reflects the effects of the payoff on the remaining term ofthe loan.
In cases of a full payoff or notice of a loan it does not make sense to enter an effective interest rate for the remaining term. Therefore effective interest rate is displayed as zero.
Use
Dependencies
When you activate the payoff the effective interest is noted in the data for the loan in the Effective Interest after Change to Installment Plan field. The due date for the payoff is entered as the key date for the change to the installment plan here.
