Definition

Specifies the date up until which the system does not calculate interest on arrears. The interest on arrears calculation does not begin until after this date.

Use

Dependencies

This field is not dependent on the Lock for Interest on Arrears or the Expiry Date for the Interest on Arrears Lock.

Example

The expiry date of the interest on arrears lock is before the end date for the non-IOA period:

  • An interest on arrears lock has been set with expiry date 05/10/YYYY.
  • The end date for the non-IOA period is 05/18/YYYY.

The system calculates the interest on arrears from 05/19/YYYY.

The expiry date of the interest on arrears lock is after the end date for the non-IOA period:

  • An interest on arrears lock has been set with expiry date 05/10/YYYY.
  • The end date for the non-IOA period is 04/25/YYYY.

The system does not calculate interest on arrears for the period up to and including 05/10/YYYY (Key date of interest on arrears calculation).

From 05/11/YYYY (Key date of interest on arrears calculation) the system calculates interest on arrears for the period from 04/26/YYYY.
