Dependencies

The system calculates the interest on arrears for the period between the date on which the debit position is created for an item and the date on which the item is cleared.

• In this field you determine whether the value date of the debit position is to be included in this period.
• You determine whether the date of the incoming payment (value date) is to be included in this period in the Incoming Payment Value Date field.

Example

No tolerance days have been set in the system.

The Incoming Payment Value Date field contains the value Include.

You post an item on the debit side (debit position) as per 05/02.

The incoming payment is made and the open item is cleared on 05/10.

Based on the value entered in this field, the system determines the following period for the interest on arrears calculation:

• Exclude: 05/03 - 05/10
• Include: 05/02 - 10/05
