Definition

In Limit Management, the selection filter is used to analyze a particular section of the credit portfolio. In other words, in end-of-day processing, only those transactions are attributed to the relevant limit type whose values match the values of the selection filter. If a selection filter is not assigned to a limit type, then all the transactions are analyzed that apply to the limit, as defined in the determination procedure.

You can use any combinations of the following selection criteria for your selection filter:

• Country risk area (this is relevant only in if the Country Risk functions have been activated; these are available in Banking only).
• Counterparty or issuer risk
• Primary or secondary risk
