Definition
Indicates the Default Status of a loan. The default status changes depending on the length of time and the amount by which a borrower defaults on payments for a loan.
The lender can initiate different steps within the default process, depending on the default status of a loan.
Use
You define the possible default status within SAP Status Management.
- Maintain Object Types
- Maintain Status Profile
Note:
You cannot use the default statuses within Loans Management.
Dependencies
Example
You can enter the following status for your default process, for example:
- BPP
Borrower has promised to make a payment.
- LRP
Lender has received the promise.
- NPP
Borrower has not made payment as promised.
- NA
Lender places the loan in the status non-accrual because the borrower has not made the promised payments within the defined tolerance period.
- INS
Lender declares borrower insolvent.
- FC
Lender starts foreclosure proceedings against the borrower.
