Use
Determines the higher-level billing criteria for rates. These are for example, control of period-end billing or budget billing amount calculation.
Note
A change in rate category in the installation means that periods are considered independently of one another in billing.
Example: You perform a rate category change from rate category TTYP1 to rate category TTYP2 in the installation. In the annual consumption billing from 01.01.1998 to 31.12.1998, the periods from 01.01.1998 to 30.06.1998 and 01.07.1998 to 31.12.1998 are analyzed independently of one another. The consequence of this is that the billing line items are created separately for both periods. This shows a proration of all billing line items until 01.07.1998. This is also true when the rate types TTYP1 and TTYP2 use the same billing schema.
A change of rate category is not permissible within the backbilling periods or period-end billing periods in backbilling or period-end billing.
