Definition
You can use subdivisions and partial fields of an Application Identifier (AI) to combine several values into one AI. The values will be combined together in ascending order according to the numerical sequence that is defined in the content of the field.
Examples
In the EAN128 standard, the AI (421) is composed of the ISO country code and the ship-to party's postal code.
