Definition
You can use the "Node supports ESMTP" indicator to control whether the messages sent using this node are sent using SMTP or Extended SMTP (ESMTP).
Use
The default communication uses ESMTP. If the mail host entered in the node maintenance does not support ESMTP, deactivate the indicator.
Note that you should only set this indicator in exceptional cases. If this indicator is not active, status handling is not supported in the communication with the mail server.
