Documentation

A restart of a work process can occur, for example, for the following reasons:

  • If errors occur
  • If the restart is performed manually
  • If the swap space reaches the limit defined in the parameter abap/heaplimit; this happens if private memory or heap memory is being used by a work process, since the memory roll-out area is only released again after a restart of the work process in this situation.
