A restart of a work process can occur, for example, for the following reasons:
- If errors occur
- If the restart is performed manually
- If the swap space reaches the limit defined in the parameter abap/heaplimit; this happens if private memory or heap memory is being used by a work process, since the memory roll-out area is only released again after a restart of the work process in this situation.
